We built hashtag.org so the channel can finally live on yours. A #name. A portal. A map pin. AI, video, DMs, and payments, all running on infrastructure you can’t be evicted from. The platforms can keep renting; we sell the deed.
The Problem
Creators don’t own their channels yet.
Most of the modern creator economy runs on rented infrastructure. YouTube hosts the audience, TikTok controls the reach, and Instagram owns the inbox. OnlyFans owns the wallet. Twitch owns the live, Patreon owns the recurring relationship, X owns the feed. The work is yours; the channel isn’t. That asymmetry is what we built hashtag.org to fix, not by replacing those platforms, but by giving you a home base they can’t reach into.
About the founder
Before the internet, I was building intranets
I was doing this before the internet was something normal people had. In the US Army I was Military Intelligence, and I started out building intranets back when a network meant a room full of machines that only talked to each other. So I have been obsessed with how information gets found, routed, and trusted for a very long time. Longer than I would admit on a first date.
That spiraled into 22 years of SEO. I have run SEOLocal.net for over two decades and ranked real businesses through every Google update, every algorithm tantrum, and every headline that declared SEO was dead. It was never dead. It just keeps changing outfits.
hashtag.org is what I built next: the same SEO craft I have lived in for 22 years, rebuilt for the agentic web, where AI agents, not just people, decide who gets found and cited.
